A rare white form of the Bat Plant.
 
These plants have got to be worth a try just for the novelty. Everyone I show this Bat plant to are simply amazed and usually have never seen one before. Its total weird flower arrangement is about one metre from top to bottom, on a spike, also one metre long. Its top bracts consist of two spectacular flowers very white and purple stripes and each one about 200mm wide.
 
The true flowers are like thick purple buttons and then there are huge purple whiskers which hang from the flowers to about 600mm below.Spectacular is not the word for this one !! The soil is one of the most important things for success with Taccas.
 
The mixture needsto be light, very porous, something that drains well.Use something like:60% peat moss30% perlite10% vermiculiteThe soil should be a little bit acid
