TOMATO Cherry ROMA ~ 40 seeds
Heirloom variety, yielding a bumper crop of small oval shaped fruit.
PLANTING: Spring-Summer and Winter in warmer locations. Sow seeds directly into their final position or seed trays. Transplant when seedlings are easily handled. A full sun location is ideal, suited to grow bags and container planting.
USE IN: Home grown tomatoes are extra sweet and ideally eaten fresh in salads or stirred through warm pasta with a few torn basil leaves. Best left to ripen on the vine.
CARE: Water seedlings daily until established and follow up with regular water especially during dry periods. Pinch out lower water shoots to keep the main stem more productive. Use stakes to support plants and fruit as they mature. Mulch plants to retain moisture in the soil. Apply liquid fertilizer regularly for best results and protect plants from frost. If insects are a problem, try companion planting with marigolds or chives, the natural oils help to deter unwanted visitors.
