For sale is one of several approx 2-4cm pygmy chain Sword portions. Plants are sold as singles
 
The pygmy chain swords, are as their name suggests a much smaller variety of chain sword than the broad, rusby or lattifolious variety’s of the ground cover sword I have available. This stunning addition to any planted tank grows easily with minimal fuss and just the occasional prune (because it is propagating so well), and a decent feed. Their thin needle like leaves make for great contrast against many plant species.
 
Ideally some root fertilisers should be supplied every few months along with a good weekly liquid fertiliser such as Sera Florena (available from us).
 
These beautiful plants will, as they grow underwater develop a long slender lime green leaf and become more luscious as they propagate and spread. If lighting and nutrient levels are just right it is possible for this species to develop a redness to its leaves rather than the standard green as shown in one of the attached pictures.
 
This relatively easy aquatic plant is the perfect addition to any foreground, where it can be maintained to fill a specific area or left to run wild.
 
Hardy and fast growing this clumping sword will thrive in a well-maintained tropical tank adding a splash of colour and shape!
