Germination takes 10 to 14 days in a temperature of 20 - 22°C.
Space seedlings 80cms apart in a full sun position and in well-draining soil.
Matures and flowers in 120 days.
 
The flowers, roots, leaves and seeds of Marshmallow plant are all edible. 
Marshallow grows widely in arid areas such as Northern Africa and the Middle East.
Marshmallow is commonly used for its medicinal properties and is used to treat throat ulcers and minor respiratory ailments.
