HOW TO GROW HOLY BASIL :
 
Step 1
Sow 5mm deep into ground or small pots of garden soil or seed-raising mix. Start indoors 6 weeks before last frost. Leave moist in a bright sunny location.
Step 2
Don’t allow the soil to dry out. Seeds should germinate after 1 week. 
Step 3
Space seedlings roughly one foot apart. Don’t overwater during transplanting.
Step 4
Final position should be in full sun. Holy Basil leaves can be harvested once the plant reaches about a foot tall. That can take between 8-14 weeks.

Holy Basil is also known as Ocimum santum, tulasi or tulsi. 
Holy Basil is native to the Indian subcontinent and is used in many medicinal concoctions.
Dried leaves of Holy Basil are used as an insect repellent. 
Holy Basil’s is regarded in Ayurveda as a type of "Elixir of Life" and believed to promote longevity.
