Maintain consistent moisture in the planting medium, ensuring it doesn't become waterlogged, which can inhibit germination. A warm and sunny position is most conducive to successful germination, though protection from the most intense afternoon sun is advisable for young seedlings. Germination can be irregular and may take several weeks to months, so continued care and patience are essential.
When seedlings are strong enough to handle, with several true leaves developed, carefully pot them individually or plant them into their desired garden spot. This Grevillea flourishes in full sun to partial shade and requires well-drained soil; sandy or gravelly loams are particularly suitable. Once established, it demonstrates good drought tolerance, but regular watering is beneficial during prolonged dry periods, particularly for younger plants. As with other members of its family, avoid using high-phosphorus fertilizers. Instead, opt for a very low-phosphorus native plant fertilizer, or rely on the natural fertility of your soil once the plant is mature.
