WHITE CHILLI Fatalii Seeds FRESH OPEN-POLLINATED

Experience the unique heat and vibrant citrusy flavour of the White Fatalii, an intriguing and relatively rare chilli pepper. This Capsicum chinense variety stands out with its pale, almost ghostly white to creamy-yellow fruits that mature to a beautiful ivory hue. Despite its lighter colour, the White Fatalii packs a significant punch, typically ranging from 125,000 to 400,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), placing it firmly in the super-hot category. Beyond the heat, it offers a distinctive fruity and citrusy aroma with lemon notes, making it a versatile ingredient for hot sauces, salsas, and fresh culinary applications where its unique flavour profile can shine. Being open-pollinated, these seeds will produce plants true to type, allowing you to save seeds for future seasons.

To ensure good germination, start your White Fatalii seeds indoors during late winter or early spring. A consistent soil temperature between 25−30∘C (77−85∘F) is ideal, making a heat mat highly beneficial. Sow seeds about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) deep in a good quality seed-raising mix. Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid overwatering, as this can lead to damping-off. Germination usually occurs within 1 to 3 weeks, but can sometimes take longer, so maintain patience. Adequate light is crucial for healthy seedling development once they emerge.

Once seedlings have developed a few true leaves, carefully transplant them into larger individual pots. Protect young plants from any cold snaps and strong winds. When all danger of frost has passed and night temperatures are consistently above 10∘C (50∘F), begin to harden off your seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over a week or two. Plant them in a sunny location with well-drained, fertile soil. Regular watering is essential, particularly during dry spells and when fruits are forming. Provide staking or support as the plants grow, as they can become quite productive and heavy with fruit. Harvest the chillies when they reach their mature white or pale ivory colour.
