HOW TO GROW LAVENDER :

Step 1
Fill a seed tray with seed raising mix.  Place seeds on surface and cover lightly with a little more soil or some vermiculite.  Ideal temperature conditions for germination are 20 degrees Celsius.  Leave in sunny position.
 
Step 2
Keep moist and warm where possible.  Seeds should germinate after 4-12 weeks.
 
Step 3
Once seedlings have 2-3 leaves they can be moved to small pot.
 
Step 4
Move to final position when frost has gone. Lavender takes up to 200 days to flower.

Ancient Egyptians used Lavender during the mummifying process.
Unlike humans, pests such as mice, flies, mosquitoes and moths cannot stand the smell of lavender.
Lavender is used by folklore in treatments for headaches, insect bites, burns, acne, muscle aches and insomnia.
