Butch Trinidad Reaper Chilli Seeds INCREDIBLY HOT 🔥🔥🔥
Prepare for an intense culinary experience with the Butch T Trinidad Reaper, a super-hot chilli pepper renowned for its formidable heat and fruity undertones. This Capsicum chinense cultivar was once crowned the world's hottest, reaching over 1.4 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Its distinctive appearance, with a wrinkled skin and a pointed "scorpion tail," hints at the extreme spiciness within. This chilli is perfect for those who dare to explore the very limits of heat in their cooking, whether in hot sauces, spicy powders, or extreme dishes. Warning: These chillies are extremely hot and should be handled with care. Wear gloves when handling seeds and fruits, avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas, and thoroughly wash hands after handling. Keep away from children and pets.
For successful germination, chilli seeds, especially super-hots, require consistent warmth and moisture. Start your seeds indoors from mid to late winter in a well-draining seed-raising mix. A heat mat is highly recommended to maintain a soil temperature between 27−30∘C (80−85∘F). Sow seeds about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) deep and lightly cover. Keep the mix consistently moist but not saturated, using a fine mist sprayer. Germination can take anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks, so patience is key. Providing a good amount of light once sprouted is also important.
Once seedlings have developed their first true leaves and are large enough to handle, carefully transplant them into individual pots. Protect these young plants from cold temperatures (below 15∘C or 60∘F) and strong winds.
As the weather warms and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatize your plants to outdoor conditions by exposing them to increasing periods of sunlight each day over a week or two. Plant them in a location with full sun and rich, well-drained soil. Regular watering is crucial, especially during hot periods and as fruits begin to form. Erratic watering can lead to issues like blossom end rot. Support plants with stakes as they grow, especially when laden with fruit. Expect a longer growing period, with fruits typically ripening from late spring to autumn.
