The Black She-oak has very fine needle like leaves, which are bright green, and contrast strongly with the dark cork like bark ( which is a feature of the tree).
The trees growth is upright, and it is used extensively for both inland and coastal planting. As with most she-oaks the breeze makes a beautiful sound as it passes through the foliage.
