Growing mature bamboo plants from seeds can be a little tricky, but don't worry this guide to growing Bamboo from seeds will help you through the process in 4 simple steps.

# 1 | Soak your bamboo seeds in warm water for 12-24 hours. Cover the container to keep the heat trapped and the water warmer longer.
# 2 | Plant bamboo seeds 1/4 inch deep, in quality potting soil. Ensure the soil is damp, but not soaking.
# 3 | Place your planted seeds in a warm place with a bright light. Bamboo needs 12-16 hours of light to germinate, so ensure you can keep the seeds well lit. Make sure your light source is at least 18 inches away from the seeds. Check daily to ensure the soil stays moist at all times.
# 4 | Seedlings will sprout in 10-15 days.

For fertiliser > Established plants - sprinkle My Seeds Fertiliser in a band around the dripline on the soil (beneath the outer perimeter of the leaf canopy) once a year and cover with mulch. This is where the feeding roots will be, not close into the trunk.
